Jaw and facial pain

Daily activities like eating, swallowing and talking heavily rely on the facial and jaw muscles. Consequently, pain in these areas can significantly impact a person's quality of life. Jaw and facial pain can stem from various factors, including orofacial muscle imbalances, mouth breathing, sleep disorders, and structural or psychological influences.

Fortunately, Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy offers a less invasive and costly alternative to surgery or dental treatment for managing jaw and facial pain. We begin with identifying the root cause of the pain, allowing us to develop an effective treatment plan. In some instances, collaboration with chiropractors, osteopaths, or physiotherapists may be beneficial.

Our aim is to restore correct muscle function, ideal tongue rest posture, and appropriate chewing and breathing patterns, which can lead to pain-free movement of facial and jaw muscles.
